"The digital 3D reconstruction of the Swinemünde Synagogue is based on original hand-drawn plans from the 19th century, which were revised in 1909 and officially approved by the local building authorities. The changes approved by the city architect in 1909 can be clearly distinguished from the original version of the building shown in the plans. Since the synagogue was destroyed during the November Pogroms on November 9 and 10, 1938, and the ruins were later removed, there are hardly any historical and no contemporary photographs or detailed records of the building. The original drawings suggest that it was a brick building without plaster. This is indicated by the solid-looking wall structures in the floor plans and sections, as well as the brick details shown in the elevation views. The synagogue consisted of a larger, single-story main hall and a smaller, two-story side building."@en
