Description
The synagogue in Oels in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland is now a Christian church of the Pentecostal movement. It was built between the second half of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century at the latest. In the 16th century, the Jews were expelled from Oels and the synagogue was converted into an arsenal in 1575. The tower and larger door openings were added. At the end of the 17th century, the arsenal was then converted into a church, which was immediately rebuilt and reconstructed in 1710 after a fire. This resulted in an extension with a mansard roof, new window openings, a new vault and a new roof for the tower.
