Description
Claude Nicholas Ledoux's propylaea are part of a
major urban project that the architect had
conceived for the city of Paris in the 18th
century. This project, although never actually fully
realized, has left its testimony in Ledoux's
books. It had a purely
neoclassical character, with large columns and
classical ornamentation.
